How It All Began
Our story starts with Ed—mentor, godfather, and believer in doing what's right. When we were still unsure about starting an insurance agency, it was Ed who looked us in the eye and said:
“Insurance isn't about policies. It's about protecting the people we love when they need it most.”
We took those words to heart. We got to work reviewing his policies, strengthening his coverage, and making sure everything was in place to protect his family—just in case. No one could have imagined how quickly that work would matter. A few months later, Ed was tragically killed in a car accident. In the days that followed, the policies we helped him refine became a powerful safety net for his loved ones—offering security, stability, and a sense of peace in the middle of heartbreak. That moment changed everything for us.

She leads internal processes, manages compliance and vendor relationships, and plays a critical role in resource planning and budget oversight. Myda’s leadership blends operational efficiency with long-term vision—ensuring seamless internal coordination while contributing to agency growth. From implementing technology solutions to streamlining workflows, she is the backbone of Aleaf’s operational excellence, driving improvements that support the agency’s success and sustainability.
Blake Sanders
Child Care – Sales Producer
Blake Sanders is a Texas native with more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry, most of it devoted to the childcare sector. Born and raised in Forney, Blake has built a reputation as a passionate advocate for early childhood education, often speaking and training within the industry to elevate awareness and standards. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos in 2003. Known for his deep industry knowledge and down-to-earth approach, Blake is a trusted partner to the childcare professionals he serves.
Phillip Sharp
Child Care – Client Services Specialist
Phillip Sharp brings over five years of insurance experience to Aleaf, with a passion for helping clients navigate complex coverage needs—especially in the early education industry. Originally from Harlingen in the Rio Grande Valley, Phillip earned his degree in Radio, TV, and Film from the University of North Texas in 1997. Before entering insurance, he had an extensive career in sports broadcasting, having announced more than 350 games across basketball, baseball, softball, and football. His background includes play-by-play work for the Texas Legends, Radio Free Frisco, Frisco ISD, and Denton ISD.
Renee Reese
Child Care – Client Services Specialist
Renee Reese is an experienced insurance professional with a special focus on early education and family-centric coverage. As a parent of five, Renee brings a deeply personal perspective to her work—understanding firsthand the importance of planning ahead and protecting loved ones. She’s known for making insurance approachable and tailored to each family’s needs. When she’s not serving clients, Renee finds joy in baking and spending time at big family gatherings—constant reminders of why her work matters.

Anosheh Asif is a focused business graduate with a strong passion for growth. Apart from work, Anosheh's passion for travel has led her to 22+ countries around the globe, and she cannot wait to explore more with her husband and the two beautiful boys they are raising.

Hurmat Memon is an insurance professional with a dedicated focus on IT, technology services, and commercial coverage. She brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to helping businesses understand their risks-whether they work in software development, consulting, telecommunications, or complex commercial operations. Outside of serving clients, Hurmat enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and discovering tools and ideas that inspire her both personally and professionally-reminders of why safeguarding businesses and the people behind them matters.

Haya Qazi is a client service specialist in the Child Care Division with a penchant for perfection. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Her experience in marketing and customer service plays a vital role in providing clients with a streamlined, supportive experience. Coming from a big family, Haya believes that it truly takes a village to raise a child. With this mindset, she is determined to equip child care business owners with the tools and protection they need to succeed in raising the nation's future. Haya is a strong advocate for education and creative learning, and she spends her time creating art and reading books.
